A Time For Every Season....

We made it home from our wild trip to Oregon! We had so much fun and did so many wonderful things, here were the highlights: Attended my grandfather's 80th birthday/reunion Visited the Fletcher's in Washington and enjoyed their hot tub, hospitality, and humor! Toured Down Town Seattle in a "Duck" while struggling with morning sickness that is aggravated by motion Realized I'm getting old while playing volleyball at the BBQ my Aunt and Uncle put on for everyone visiting for Grandpa's 80th. Went to the Zoo in Seattle with family and our good friends the Stringers. John enjoyed a guys day of building shelves in the Stringers garage with Mel's husband. Enjoyed visiting with 50 members from the Adamson side of the family, including my Dad who lives in Seattle Took the boys to a Mariners game - Gabe's first. We were in row 16 - nice and close! Just a quick note (I'm procrastinating packing my things), we're headed for Oregon for a few days. Though I'd post that the baby looks great, john is convinced that we're having a girl after the ultra sound. He says I'm acting different with this baby? Could it be that it is the third so I know what to expect? I'm choosing not to guess and we'll all be surprised on October 2 when we get our next ultra sound. I'll post the cute pictures of our little peanut when I get back into town. In the interim , please pray for our trip on the plane. Gabe has decided this week to start personalizing himself. He is now throwing objects in anger and having huge screaming tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants. Yesterday he threw a red car at his brothers head because he didn't want to share. Our family had a great week visiting with family and friends! My friend Bethany came down from Oregon for 6 days! We went on the hunt for Dinosaur fossils, ate Pennini sandwiches, chased down frogs for the garden, shopped at the Goodwill, visited the park and Starbucks, went swimming, went to my women's group, enjoyed my baby shower, played with our kids, and even managed a short trip to Hobby Lobby. We both had an exhausting but exciting time! My sister and her husband Ruben also came down for the baby shower. We enjoyed visiting and Drew loved showing them what he has been learning in school. As for Drew and school --he is in heaven! Drew loves to go to school, or "church" as he calls it. Drew loves to talk about "teacher Lilo and Nene ( Shilo & Amy). This week he learned about the letter "H" and painted hippo's and hand prints. He also enjoyed playing with orange play dough. Too fun! We are home and caught up from our 10-14 day trip to Oregon. We had a lot of fun visiting the Pacific Ocean, Washington State, visiting grandparents and uncles, and long lost second cousins. Our days were filled with exploration, which Drew loved! Drew's every minute was filled with discovery, adventure, and passionate pursuits. Drew came home to a very quiet house and very few playmates - although he has started playing more with Kitty! Drew was pleased to see that our neighbor Riley is home for the summer, he anxiously awaits playing with her each morning, and then Nana in the afternoon. He has picked up a few new topics to educate us about: lawn mowers, Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, and airplanes. It is so nice to hear more than just "train" talk. His train vocabulary, though vast, can be very boring. I wish Drew was interested in "traditional learning" but instead he wants to find out and know how everything works. I can't get him to sit still long enough...

This past week has been so fun! My Grandma Patti came for a visit. She took me to the park and let me get all muddy! We read books and played in the backyard. On Wednesday Mommy took the day off work and we went to Story Time and the Library and then drove 45 minutes to Garland to pick up some plants. Then we came home and spent the afternoon planting. Grandma, Daddy and I finished building mommy's blower boxes in the backyard while mommy planted and spread about 100 bags of dirt. We have tons of fun getting muddy! I am now speaking in sentences about 30% of the time. I have also changed mommy's name to Mom. Yesterday I found a weird object in the back yard, I took it to mom and said "Mom, what is it?" as I proudly held out my dead June bug. Mommy told me it was a dead bug. I then ran around the house yelling "dead bug... dead bug." It was so cute that Mommy had to call Daddy on the phone and let him listen. I found a Lego man in the bathtub yesterday and p...
