October 16, 2006
Birthday's are so much fun! I had a small get together tonight with some friends for John's 26 th Birthday. How did he get that old? Drew was able to stay up late tonight and eat tons of cake and play with his buddy Jonathan. John spent most of his Birthday at the Library writing papers for his last week of school. Drew spent the day at the Mothers Day Out program. He made a pumpkin face and painted it orange. His teacher said he loved to play in the paint. I spent my quiet Monday working! I am taking off Wednesday - Friday this week, so I have a lot to get done.
My friend Bethany & her son Johnny will be here tomorrow night! I can't wait. We are going to have so much fun! We are even going to visit Six Flags on Saturday. Hopefully we will spend the time relaxing and sipping ice tea while the kiddo's play. The weather here is very nice, in the 70's or 80's during the day and 60's at night. I just received my electric bill and it went down 100.00! Fall is finally here.
John's surgery went very well, he is up and running already. They only did half of his back though, the other side will be done the beginning of November. John's foot is healing too, it is still very sore and swells a lot. But, another month or so and it should be better than before the surgery. We are all going camping the last weekend in October! It is to celebrate all our Birthday's and so John can relax knowing that school is finished.
Nothing very new to share, Drew's vocabulary is still quite limited. He is starting to use two words together more frequently like " Up Please" "All Done" " That' s Mine" "A plane." Drew is teething yet again so he has been crabby & whiney a lot. Hopefully this is the last group of teeth for a long, long time.
Love,
Melissa
